EGG CUSTARD TART SWEET PASTRY

These miniature treats are the perfect mix of flakey pastry and sweet,  creamy custard. Bite into the delightful notes of vanilla and nutmeg as  you enjoy these lovely little pies warm or chilled. Makes 6 mini tarts.

Ingredients

Pastry:
165 grams flour
25 grams almond flour
120 grams butter
55 grams sugar
1 pinch of salt
1 egg


Custard:
1 cup cream
1 1⁄2 cups Maple Hill whole milk
8 egg yolks
100 grams sugar
1/8 tsp. fresh ground nutmeg
1 vanilla bean or 1T paste/extract
