MASALA CHAI LATTE

Wake up your taste buds with this sweet, spiced latte that packs a punch of flavor! Makes 4 servings.

Ingredients

3 cups water
8 Tbsp Assam loose leaf black tea
1 small piece fresh ginger (about 1” piece)
10 whole cloves
12 cardamom pods
2 cinnamon sticks
8-10 black peppercorns
2 star anise
2 cups Maple Hill whole milk
2-3 tbsp. brown sugar or honey

Preparation

Step 1

Combine the water, tea leaves and all of the spices in a medium saucepan. 


Step 2

Bring to a boil and then turn down heat to very low. Cover and let steep for at least 15 min, ideally for 1-2 hrs.


Step 3

Add the milk and heat for a few minutes to allow oils to infuse the milk. 


Step 4

Strain chai and serve.
