PAN BISCUITS SWIMMING IN BUTTER
2 1/2 cups flour (all purpose or Paleo baking flour)
1 ¾ cups Maple Hill Plain Kefir, COT, or Greek
¼ cup Maple Hill Milk
1/2 cup Maple Hill salted butter, melted (1 stick)
4 teaspoons baking powder
2 tablespoons sugar or coconut sugar (optional)
1 teaspoon sea salt
Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
Sift together all dry ingredients; flour, baking powder, sugar (optional) and salt into a mixing bowl.
Mix in the kefir and milk by hand to the dry ingredients until combine, it may be lumpy and bumpy and its ok.
Pour the melted butter into 11×7 baking dish, then spread the batter to the corners of the dish, the butter will float above in some areas.
Place into the oven for 15 minutes.
Remove and brush the butter bubbling up the edges to the top of the biscuits
Return to oven for 7-8 minutes or until tops are brown.
Let the biscuits sit for 10 minutes before cutting and serving.
